This policy explains how Hema Nanuwa (trading as Travel with Hema) ("I", "me", "us") collects and uses your personal data when you use this website. I am the data controller and can be contacted at hemabid@hotmail.com.
What I collect
- Enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), destination, travel dates, number of travellers and any message you send.
- Join my team form: your name, email address and country.
- Analytics data (only if you accept analytics cookies): pages visited, approximate location, device and browser information, collected by Google Analytics.
How I use it
- To reply to your enquiry, prepare quotes and arrange your travel bookings.
- To send you information about becoming an independent travel agent, if you asked for it.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it (analytics, with your consent).
Lawful basis
- Taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (enquiries and bookings).
- Legitimate interests in responding to messages you send me.
- Consent for analytics cookies, which you can withdraw at any time via Cookie settings.
Sharing
- Form submissions are stored securely and delivered to me by email through my website and email service providers.
- When you book, I share the details needed with travel suppliers (e.g. airlines, hotels, tour operators) and with InteleTravel, the host agency I work with.
- Google Analytics data is processed by Google, which may transfer it outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.
- I never sell your personal data.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries and leads are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless a booking requires longer retention for legal or accounting reasons.
Your rights
- Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your data, object to processing, and request a copy of your data. Email me at hemabid@hotmail.com.
- You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
